Wreaths Across America  Sat., Dec. 17  On Dec. 17, hundreds of volunteers are expected to gather at Mt. Olivet Cemetery to honor veterans and lay wreaths on the graves of veterans buried there. Wreaths Across America, a national organization honoring deceased veterans, coordinates the annual event. This year’s theme is “Say Their Names.” In an effort to remember their important contributions, the name of each of the approximately 1,700 veterans buried in Mt. Olivet and St. Joseph’s Cemetery will be read aloud. The reading of names will begin at 10:30 a.m. and stop at 11:50 a.m. for the moment of silence and ceremony. After the ceremony, as the public lays the wreaths, the name reading will continue. To donate to the wreath fund or to volunteer, email hanoverpawaa@comcast.net. Mt.
